Salem Music Study Club meeting

The Salem Music Study Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the parlor beside the Emmanuel Lutheran Church upstairs. It is a member of the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs and the National Federation of Music Clubs. A meeting will be held and plans will be brought up for the Annual Festival of Choirs scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 29, at 3 p.m. at the Salem First Methodist Church. There will be a program by Sarah Gustwiller followed by refreshments, as always guests and members are welcome and appreciated. Anybody is welcome to dress up in costume for the upcoming holiday.

Ohio State Trappers plan educational workshop at Highlandtown

SALINEVILLE -- The Ohio State Trappers Association is hosting a free Trapping Workshop Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 31 and Sunday, Nov. 1, in the wildlife office at the Highlandtown Wildlife Area, 16760 Spring Valley Road. The workshop is open to adults and children and will include classroom instruction, demonstrations and hands-on field work. Sign-in begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
