LISBON – Liam Tracy is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center’s March Student of the Month.

Liam is a senior from Beaver Local High School and is enrolled in the Interactive Technology and Emerging Media (ITEM) Program under the instruction of William Oesch.

Liam is a member of the SkillsUSA Chapter at the CCCTC where he serves as the vice president. He is also a member of the CCCTC’s chapter of The National Technical Society where he also serves as vice president.

Liam enjoys volunteering through his church and helping out his neighbors with yard work and dog sitting. He plans to attend college to study art and animation with a goal of becoming a successful artist and animator.

Liam stated, “The CCCTC helped me learn good work ethic, make friends, and challenge myself like I never had before.”

Liam was nominated by Oesch, who stated, “Liam’s commitment to the Interactive Technology and Emerging Media program and his willingness to serve in the capacity as Vice President of our SkillsUSA chapter, as well as serving as a CCCTC student ambassador, make him an ideal choice for Student of the Month. He continuously exceeds expectations on class projects — demonstrating proficiency in design, while also leading peers to help achieve successful outcomes. As SkillsUSA Vice President, Liam has facilitated effective group committees among his fellow students. His creative solution to emerging media issues, as well as his passion for learning, has ensured a broad array of skills that will inevitably pave a successful path in his future career choices. Along with his ever-strengthening skills, Liam currently holds five industry certifications, with four being from Adobe. Liam’s dedication to the work, creative problem-solving, and willingness to help are the character traits and attributes we not only aim to cultivate here in the Interactive Technology and Emerging Media CTE program but across the entire campus of the CCCTC.”
