Crestview student named CCCTC February Student of the Month

LISBON — Arlo Bell is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center’s February Student of the Month.
Arlo is a senior from Crestview High School and is enrolled in the Cybersecurity and Information Technology (CIT) Program under the instruction of Jeffrey Williams.
Arlo is a member of the SkillsUSA Chapter at the CCCTC. At Crestview, he is a member of the Academic Team. A lengthy list of accomplishments decorate Arlo’s resume. He is the back-to-back SkillsUSA Related Technical Math Champion for the local SkillsUSA competitions. During the 2023-24 school year, he placed 3rd regionally and represented the CCCTC at the state level in Related Technical Math. During the 2024-25 school year, Arlo competed not only in the Related Technical Math but also took 2nd in the Information Technology Services competition at the local SkillsUSA competition. Advancing to regionals in Related Technical Math, he took 2nd place in the region and will be again representing the CCCTC at the state SkillsUSA competition held in Columbus, Ohio on March 18-19. In addition, he has completed his 12 point credential in CIT and is pursuing further credentials. Finally, for his senior capstone Project, Arlo is programming his own game using the Python programming language.
Outside of school, Arlo has been employed at Homestead Kitchen and Cocktails since November of 2024.
Upon graduation, Arlo plans to find employment in the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). By establishing a career in his field of study, he hopes to be able to support a family by owning a home, vehicle, and purchasing the necessary amenities.
Arlo stated, “The CCCTC was a good choice for me because it has allowed me to earn multiple certificates and learn about the field of technology. It has also supplied me with many friends and connections that will help me through life.”
Arlo was nominated by Williams, who stated, “Arlo has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and willingness to learn throughout his time here in the CIT lab. No matter which avenue Arlo decides to take in his next chapter, I am confident that his drive, intelligence, and leadership will propel him to make a meaningful impact.”
Arlo is the son of Stacy Love and Nick Bell.
