Elyria schools will quit making the the pink cookie, a favorite of kids, due to new diet rules. Do rules like this crush what little fun there is in a school lunch?

Elyria schools haven't quit making the cookie because of diet rules, they quit making the pink cookie because they "chose" to do it because of "budget" costs.

The price of sugar is at it's highest cost it has ever been. Those alleged "diet rules" have become the escape goat for saving money on school budgets.

How many Doctors and dieticians have told people over and over and over through out the ages. It's not what you eat that causes weight gain, it's how much you eat and lack of exercise and burning those calories off.

America is becoming the joke of the century. So these kids don't get their pink cookie? So now they go home and eat three cookies instead of the normal two they would eat when they get home. LOL This whole thing is a joke and the idiot and his whatever she is, in the white house have become the bigger joke.

Do they still allow the birthday kid to bring in treats? Real treats?

Bring back running around during two recesses, lunch break and after school--then, no problems.

I remember eating breakfast with farmer relatives--along with the eggs, bacon and toast there was always something sweet, often some form of Midwest "bars". They all lived to a ripe old age--some were larger-sized than others, but all healthy.
