I had both for about 12 years and never had a problem with either but then I moved to another part of town. DirecTV couldn't re-install my dish because of a line of sight issue so I had to change over to Time Warner Cable. I had my phone and internet with AT&T and they said they could move me but I needed all new equipment. They couldn't give a clear reason why but I went along with it. Looking back, that is where the trouble started.

Well DirecTV was already the worst customer service experience of my life. And I know they're consistently rated near or at the top of such complaint lists. Can't get much worse.
I feel bad for the DirecTV subscribers. AT&T has adopted some real p!$$poor customer relations policies over the last couple years.
