"Obamacare is only about paying for it and not lowering the costs."

I am sure we can all agree one of the best ways to stop rising health costs is Preventative care. Obamacare focuses on Preventive Services. Under Obamacare most health plans are required to cover certain preventive care services at no out-of-pocket costs. These services don't require you to meet your deductible or other limits and should have no copay.

James, I agree. We not fully focused on resolving the issues to lower the healthcare costs. Obamacare is only about paying for it and not lowering the costs. The is blame to go around with everything on this. We are being hog tied with very real three way divided battle.

Healthcare providers, insurance companies and patients and the politicians have made us all the ping pong balls!

"Obamacare does not force anyone to put or keep their children on their healthcare policy. The ability to keep your children on your policy up to age 26 is a benefit, but it is not mandatory."

TripleD, I don't think that half point is going to make James happy. Seriously.

I bet in his situation he is probably facing some huge premiums and out of pocket expenses with the size of his family that are out of this world. The old sticker shock of Obamacare?

TripleD, you got to start realizing some where in this. How Obamacare has harmed a lot of people regardless of your own personal life. We are all in this together. Wouldn't hurt you to tap on Obama's shoulder and say, hey, thanks but uh, what the rest of the folks this caused harm to.

Come on TripleD. Think about it.

Watchdog, agree with that. They had a whistle blowing Doctor on the news. She said that billing departments in America rank number one in errors and mistakes more than any other country. When it comes to these prevention and excessive testing. America is second and Canada ranks first. Pill pushing we hold the number one spot. About went through the ceiling when I heard about the incentive programs these Docs get for pushing prescription meds. Vacations? All kinds of stuff Docs get for pushing them.

The woman that was interviewing her asked her why nothing is done to stop this. She claimed nobody complains about it. My jaw dropped.

Obamacare doesn't do anything to impress me. Insuring two adults and my three kids, only ensured my kids won't be going to college. The budget only stretches so far.

TripleD sez: "Obamacare is far from perfect, but at least it is a beginning to reining in the insurance industry."

It has done nothing to rein in the insurance industry. Government health care subsidies is only shoring up their PROFITS.

Everybody keeps leaving out the one other contributing factor in this whole thing. THE HEALTH CARE MEDICAL PROFESSION.

You sound like the typical Obama, blame the insurance companies and the insurance companies only.

So here is my question, you obviously ignore...when do you start blaming yourself? For your own failures to control your own healthcare?

TripleD, honest question. When was the last time you actually asked for an itemized bill from your Doctor or Hospital? When was the last time you questioned you insurance company?

When was the last time YOU actually controlled your treatment with any Doctor?

Public education with safe guards and protections against even the healthcare professionals LOWERS health care c

questioner, Absolutely correct. That is the real crime. The real fact is that the insurance companies have rigged the game. Obamacare is far from perfect, but at least it is a beginning to reining in the insurance industry.

I am not a fan of Obamacare. But I do think it's here to stay.

I do think everyone should have been able to be covered--pre-existing, no limits, etc., but because they weren't, the door was wide open for Obamacare.

But I think those things should have been fixed with changes to the insurance/health care industries.

If Republicans would spend less time fighting against what is a done deal, unable to be undone without bad repercussions, and spend time on solutions to other rising costs within the health care industry, they'd be rock stars.

Why tilt at windmills?--altho reforming costs may seem almost as impossible.

But look at fee-for-services. Look at areas where the patient just gets ripped off--cost for an aspirin, the box of tissues, etc.

The industry may not be broken, but it's not healthy--at least not for most people receiving their services. (To say nothing of the rip-off cost to those without insurance--there is no "write-off" for them)

WatchDog, No problem, Go ahead and repeal Obamacare. You have my permission, now all you need is the political ability to do it. Repealing Obamacare will actually break the healthcare system in the United States. Not broken the way that you think Obamacare broke it, I mean broken as in a complete meltdown. If you are sure that Republicans can survive the political repercussions of that then go ahead.

"Are you finally admitting that the Republicans complaints about Obamacare are nothing more than political rhetoric?"

Of course not, just showing how you Democrats play ball and how your own comments confirm it.

What YOU are not willing to recognize is how many times people on here have put forth questions to you and you dodge them and turn around and play the name calling game. Then you snatch hold of things that Republican predicted and actually came true after by the way AFTER the passing of Obamacare and use their same statements and strategy against them BEFORE the elections this year. Do you realize how boldly ignorant that is?

TripleD you won't stop defending Obama. Everything this man has done you agree with do you not?

Because we never see you do anything but that. You don't defend his policies, you defend him. That is the big difference and it is noticeable.

"Will they pass a jobs bill that would benefit the people and the country?"

Has Obama did any of that? NOPE

"Will they shutdown the Government in yet another attempt to repeal Obamacare?"

And the impact from the first government shutdown impacted the economy how? Obamacare CAN NOT be repealed and boths sides know it. The damage is done. Useless points TripleD.

"What do you think the news shows and the political ads would look like if somehow Obamacare was repealed?"

Depends of how the Dems use if for their crybaby strategy. That is simple. Even if the Republicans take over both house and senate NOTHING will be accomplished. Hillary and the Dems, along side Obama will guarantee that, because they still won't work with the Congress just like Obama will not work with Congress right now. Congress will be tied up with Obama's lawless BS. You know it an everybody knows it. Again a useless point.

"During an appearance on Bill Bennett’s Morning in America radio show on Wednesday, House Budget Committee Chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) admitted that the GOP won’t rally around one single, unified alternative to the Affordable Care Act. Instead, Republicans will vote on a variety of conservative health care proposals that share “common themes” — a far cry from the comprehensive Obamacare replacement plan that GOP leadership has been promising for months." In other words an Obamacare replacement will not be forth coming. Good bye health insurance for millions of Americans if Obamacare is repealed.

What do you think will happen if the Republicans are in control in the House and the Senate beginning in 2015? Will they pass a jobs bill that would benefit the people and the country? Will they shutdown the Government in yet another attempt to repeal Obamacare? What do you think the news shows and the political ads would look like if somehow Obamacare was repealed? Do you think we would would see millions of Americans cheering because they lost their Healthcare. Does anyone here think that more Americans will get healthcare if Obamacare is repealed? What do you think those political ads will look like? It would certainly give Hillary some talking points in 2016. :>)

It was your lies about Obamacare and your Gerrymandered Congressional districts that gave you control of the U.S. House Of Representatives and this year it could give you control of the U.S. Senate as long as you do not run candidates that talk about legitimate rape. This will all be good for you. Of course that assumes that you do not try to over reach. :>)
