TripleD, if we truly had unrestrained capitalism, this would never happen. It's only because of our regulatory environment that this so frequently occurs. Of course, you will argue the point with me, but under which environment have these super conglomerates been formed? An environment heavily regulated by a central government with several hundred different ABC regulatory agencies and a pseudo federal money printing bank, or free market capitalism?

HINT: It's a trick question.

Of course I am against a merger as we need competition to lower prices, but I am surprised at the number of no votes. I guess unrestrained capitalism is good until it could affect your cable bill, huh? Who is in favor of government sticking their nose in now?
