notSocialist can't help you there. I stayed in most of the day. Put my flag out and lit a candle. Called my family just to say "I love them" and thanked God for the gifts he gives us. Then asked him to send angels to those that suffered such terrible losses on that gut wrenching day to get them through the painful memories.

I sure hope many did. It is a day we should never forget.

Gemini is right. And I would say it's a push. We've created more enemies, but also traded a lot of liberty for security.

Did anyone happen to notice if anyone besides the Salem Golf Club had their flag at half-staff today?

This is a tough question. If you can eliminate politics from your way of thinking. I would say yes because I trust our Military and the intelligence that they rely on. I guess it I could say in my view...I think our Country works really hard to make sure it's safe and another 9-11 doesn't happen again. However, the evil and the enemies still exist. That could be a no answer if you want to look at it that way. Anyhow, tough question to answer.

It's certainly a less private place...
