I'm surprised it isn't taxed already. In order to be eligible for VA benefits, one must have served in the military and thereby contributed something to society.

Next they would want to tax VA Comp.
Darn right it should be. Unemployment is taxed, and you have to WORK to be able to receive it. Why should welfare/food stamps be different?

Public assistance SHOULD be taxed. If someone getting $25,000 worth of assistance to get by then how is that any different than someone earning $25,000 working a job and paying their own way?

I NEVER want to pay more taxes. I do however support the .0025% increase. If we cannot afford .25 cents on one hundred dollars then we have MUCH bigger issues. The working Ohioan's now have a tax break on their pay. The fair tax is a flat tax across the board. If you don't buy, you don't pay. Why is it Joe lazy bones shouldn't have to pay any taxes? Because he has no income!?! (other than public assistance). Let us all pay equally. If you Buy then you pay, If you Don't buy then you're not paying.. Gee, sounds fair to me!
That poll result is interesting. 72% love paying taxes! Wow!

Oldman you are so misguided on this it is actually sad.
HOW did Kasich, on this issue take from the poor and give to the rich?

I am not a fan of Kasich, nor am I a Republican, but I do agree there are way too many people who are "poor" only because it pays out so well. When you add up the total benefits one can get to drop out of school, not work, and create more mouths to feed, then it starts looking like the income equivalent of someone who earned an associates degree and works 40+ hours a week in their field. Those that have middle class incomes made sacrifices to get where they are. The only thing the non-working class sacrificed was their dignity.

Kasick is a typical Republican. He takes from the poor and gives to the rich. Why do the Republicans hate the poor and unforunate???
