...so now I have to rely on the 9 to protect me and my heels! So don't be mad at me when I empty clips...blame society! LOL

You do know there was at one time my plan was to call 911 and hide out in a closet and arm myself with my high heels and wait for the boys to get there. If he opened the door I would start flinging my heels at him with an attempt to bounce a few off his face...
But Society has changed that plan. Now that we have just as many men out there that love to wear high heels too...I am not taking any chances flinging my heels at him...that might be what he is there to steal from me...
seriously, have your priced a good pair of heels today...it almost like you want to scream...take the flat screen, take the flat screen!
LOL, notSocialist! Why am I not surprised that that was the one thing YOU would focus on!!!! snicker You are soooo bad!
All this talk about center mass is interesting it really is but I can promise this to be a fact in my case.
An intruder breaks into my home. I am going to dial 911 and lay the phone down. The dispatcher and I can chat later. I am not going to worry about shooting center mass. I am going to unload that clip while I am screaming at he top of my lungs for help and when he is down, I might just unload another one because I know it will have messed up my manicure and I am going to really mad. He will not be getting back up to testify against me.
Then I am going to rip my shirt and slap my face red and beg on the mercy of the court. I am not going to be a victim because some airheads think people shouldn't shoot to kill and believe criminals are victims.

"Guess it's not so 'over' yet"
Of course it isn't over yet. The free loader sitting in the White house needs this distraction to run rampant. You think the main stream isn't controlled by him. When the media is focused on this...they are not focused on him and what he is doing behind the scenes.

rpmwwe you hit that nail on the head.
I know I will get a bunch of disagrees on this next statement because people do play with their hearts instead of their heads. But in today's society and how emotions control this country.
If you get in a situation just like the one George Zimmerman was in...your best bet is to make sure when you pull that weapon you better shoot to kill. You can't afford to have that person alive to testify against you. That is a fact.
Center mass was learned in the 60's.
Beaumont, I learned "Double tap to center mass" in the mid nineties as a Navy MP. And the purpose isn't to kill, it's merely the best aiming point to stop the action of the person you are shooting. The key here is "Stop." If you aim center mass and actually hit somewhere around there, the target is likely going to fall down, which stops him from performing whatever action he was doing. Of course, if well aimed, because of the training and practice you were correct in pointing out as important, than the target likely won't be getting back up. If you shoot to maim, you likely could miss entirely and I would think and you could even be proven to be somehow at legal fault because you purposely wanted an injury.

Beaumont, if you own a gun, they why do you have it?
Okay, this post isn't about stand your ground, but is somewhat related. Yesterday Obama said 35 yrs ago he could have been Trayvon and has had the experience of people locking car doors or clutching purses when he was near. 25 years ago, in an urban setting with an international and mixed race group of friends, the question came up: Is it being prejudiced to cross to the other side of the street if a couple young black men are walking towards you? The black Women were unanimous in stating that They did, but usually didn't if it was young white men. So, prejudice or wisdom? If thefts in stores have been noticed after Hispanic males have been in who have touched things, put hands in pockets, and not bought anything, are you prejudiced or wise to watch/follow when they are in stores? (Okay, on stand your ground--in fear of your life, do you do what you Know will protect you, or what Might stop someone?)
"I really don't worry what anyone thinks of what I do"
If you are carrying then had better worry about what others think. There may be twelve of them deciding your fate someday. You may, or may not, be a competent marksman...I'm not questioning that part. What I'm really concerned about is your understanding of use of force. You may want to seek out some training in that subject.
I'm not trying to insult you or be disrespectful, but if you get into a shooting incident and say half the things you said here in court, then you're going to be quickly discredited and in a lot of trouble.
ladybug...and anyone else who cares, see what HHS is saying about keeping your own Doctor under Obamacare. This administration cannot tell the truth so why would anyone believe the AG would be any different?

I will second your motion Mtlhd. Exactly.
Mtlhed, I really don't worry what anyone thinks of what I do. CCW class was about safety and the laws. Center mass was learned in the 60's. If you carry you need to shoot as much as you can to make it a reflex not just pulling a trigger.
Eat too much sawdust, Bob?
Beaumont, you are right that you don't have to kill someone to defend yourself. But what I would be against is anyone expecting me to have a duty to ensure someone is not killed during my action of defense. As NotSoc said, center mass. In the heat of the moment I doubt anybody would actually think about that stuff anyways and would just shoot. If the perp dies, he dies. You see it on the news all the time. Sometimes the scumbag lives and sometimes he doesn't. But then the scums family always comes out and says, "Why did you have to kill him?" Well, uhh, I didn't and I didn't necessarily try to either.
Fingers not working yet! Must get something to eat.
(1) Not it not a law in Ohio. (2) Yes the NRA pushes it. (3) It could be in the budget. (4) You don't have to kill. (5) If it is the law I support it.
Remember Ohio is not a stand your ground state. Not yet, the NRA is working on it. It may be the governors next budget. If it would be the law here I say yes. But I still say you don't have to kill to defend yourself.

Then the best one of all came from lame duck Nancy Pelosi...she says we need to pass laws and charge neighborhood watch people with profiling.
Then Jesse Jackson's own son screwed up big time. He told a news reporter that a police officer told Zimmerman over his radio to stand down but he proceeded around the corner and punched Martin in the nose and tackled him to the ground!
LOL! Here is a better one, I almost fell out my computer chair. A reporter went into a crowd of protestors and he snagged an interview with a young black mom in Oakland.
He asked her why she was protesting the verdict. She told the reporter now that Zimmerman was free she feared for the safety of her children with this killer walking the streets.
He asked her their ages and she said...10, 11, and 16.
The reporter quickly asked her if she would ever let her children after being suspended from school on a drug violation go out into the streets and walk a mile in the rain to buy candy.
She blurted out, heavens no, I don't know anybody stupid enough to do something like that. And she was holding a "I am Trayvon" sign!
That reporters face was priceless!
I'm afraid I'll miss the breakfast. I'm c o m i n g home at the end of August. Ya'll can look for Texas plates and that just might be me.
Yea, Watchdog, some of the gafs and idiot things to say that come out of politicians mouths are quite numerous. I heard audio from some girl who said Trayvon's lawyer did a horrible job....LOL
Can't type ..."c o m i n g"???
