Every now and then, I see something on TV about maglev trains. Japan and Germany have an interest in them and are working on their own programs. It would be nice to see similar work being done in the U.S. but I'm sure financing it would be a problem. The trains can run in excess of 300 mph and could rival the travel times of the airline industry in the short hauls.

LOL, great come back rpmwwe, ah heck, they didn't disagree with your comment, they just look at the screen name posted and that is all that matters to them!
I used to love to fly. I'm with you on your opinion as well. I fear crashing.
In fact, flying is becoming an inconvenience, especially with these short hour destination flights and everything they have to do with flight travel these days, it quicker to drive the trip.
Wow! According to the disagree I got on my first comment, it seems someone knows me better than me. You seriously disagree that I have a fear of crashing? You may be in favor of a nanny state in which all of the subjects have someone else do their thinking for them but I can assure you that you will never be part of the group that does the thinking.
