Way more than he paid in .Right.But you used to have 10 paying in for everyone collecting. Nows it's 3 to 1.

It needs fixed and soon. Wev'e been talking about it since Reagan,

I think he was the last one to address it.

As far as social security goes Cola's contributed greatly to the fund being depleted also. I know my Father collected way more money than he ever dreamed about paying in. In fact due to COLA's he was making more money on Social security than he ever made in his life working. Not that it was not welcomed but it only stands to reason that If you keep increasing the payout of a pot of money that you will eventually run out of funds to pay out.

I agree with you on the spending waste Ladybug. But you know how that stuff gets passed don't you? They tack it on to another spending bill so it gets passed. That is how they compromise to get things pushed through. That is why I said it is compromising that has put us in this mess. Their idea of compromising and your and my idea of compromising is not the same. They say I will vote for your pet project if we put my pet project in the bill also. That is how they compromise and that is what has gotten us in the mess we are in.

I said like all program elimanate the waste,

Which i just pointed out close to 1 trillion dollars.

We have to maintain a suff, military ,but it can also be runin a responsibl fashion like anything else,Just to spend money to maintain jobs in a certain certain congressman or senators district is bs,

Ponzi scheme.

A quote by Rick Perry ,the man who couldn't remember what 3 depts he would elimanate if elected pres.

Try thinking on your own. The only thing wrong with SS is it needs some adjustments to keep it solvent.

"These programs are paid for and would be self sufficent if the*****politicians wouldn't have stolen all the money from them to pay for other programs."

Bug, I'll agree with you that the politicians should have kept their fingers out of the cookie jar, but both programs were never really "paid for". They were ponzi schemes from the start...too much being paid out and not enough being paid in.

Who said that? God is still in control and the world as we now it will end when He decides it will end. Fortunately Mr. Obama can make our country worse off but he will not end the world unless God decides to use him to do so.

So far the only thing Obama has been successful in, is strapping us with a health care program that is going to end up costing more than most Americans are going to like paying. About this time next year I think he and his program are going to be even less popular than they are today.

It's a real shame .GB wasn't the best or worst pres,Yet he got the blame for everything,Same as Obama,

Personally all the dsyfunction and lact of progress rest in the hands of the house and senate who totally fail to agree on anything.

All the concern is whose running in 2014,2016 and whose goingto control what.
