That is like asking if someone is speeding through town at 50 miles an hour should they get a ticket? If we are not going to enforce our laws what is the use in having them??

Well concerned you keep mentioning due process,
My own opinion after 5 yrs. of delay and not honoring an agreement in 2010.We are past fair process . It's time to hit these people with every legal option available.

How do you know they haven't? There is a court case pending.
Legally, according to current zoning laws, the name on the mural is a "sign". Perry Township trustees just had a meeting to look at/change some of their zoning laws. Didn't seem too difficult for them to do. Why can't Salem do the same? Who, how, when can we revisit zoning laws?

Questioner, Rules and ordinances would have to draft a change, it would then be sent to the planning commission, it would than have to have three readings and a public hearing for citizen input. If the planning commission happened to nixed it. It would take a very large majority of council to over rule the planning commission. It is not an easy process to change a zoning law in a statutory form of government like Salem is.
Don't cry questioner. I didn't say it was impossible I said it was not easy. : )
