I often wonder why we try to blame except to wonder why any leader would jusr sit back and do nothing. Can President Obama, on his own, lower prices but saying that...if he refuses to do or say anything, he is only letting it happen.
But, someone will mention Mr. Bush if for no other reason than they are ashamed that they voted for Obama.
$3.86 in South Carolina, $3.95 in Georgia, $3.98 close to I-75 & $3.89 away from I-75 in Florida. Back to $80 to fill up. So, what's Obama doing about it?
Grant states wisely: "The fact that people haven't become aware that their government is trying to squeeze all of their money out of them and why is terrifying."
They don't care Grant. They can't take those blinders off. It is just the blame game back and forth. They don't want the truth, the truth scares the hello out them. It's easy play along with the point the finger blame game that is killing this country.
Beaumont like a child in a school zone states: "We may reach the highest Average price of $4.26 reached in 2008.
Wonder who was pres?"
OMG, this is living proof as to why this country will never move forward with progress. WHO CARES? This finger pointing waste NEVER solves anything! Grow up! If we don't do something NOW, these gas prices will be the same UNDER THE NEXT PRESIDENT. I am so sick of these babies that sit on here and APPLY NOTHING but the party affiliation WASTE OF SPACE GAME. Gets really old!
The ideas that no administration can do anything about gas prices and that the prices are market driven are equally ignorant.
But like they say, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Everyone will learn the hard way if we don't figure it out before then.
Oil (and fossil fuels in general) is a finite resource under pressure from increasing demand. Prices will only continue to rise over time. Their is nothing a President from either party can do to stop that fact. Until (and if) viable alternatives are found for fossil fuels, or our transportation choices change (even small towns like Salem had mass transit in the early 20th century), we are stuck with increasing prices. Eventually, we will be forced to find alternatives. Until we do, get used to increasing transportation prices.
It's not directly any presidents fault, neither Bush nor Obama, as the price fluctuations are market driven and not set my any administration. Unfortunately, Bush was unable to get drilling underway in desolate areas due to others concerns for spotted carabou and Obama agrees with the environmentalists. So enjoy all the high fuel prices while some sheik drives a solid gold Rolls Royce.
I love how 4 people disagreed with WatchDog. This is a controlled market, so yes, by design the price will go over $4. Notice how the price of everything is going up, all while the economy struggles. It's all manipulated. I get Obama lovers telling me to look at the stock market--it's a bubble, it's easy to see if you're paying attention. It too will burst, except this time, where will the bail out money come from? But we keep our oil off the market, therefore inflating the price of oil from everywhere else in the world and your gas prices increase because of it. It's nothing but another tax. The fact that people haven't become aware that their government is trying to squeeze all of their money out of them and why is terrifying.
$4 a gallon. How can any Obama lover honestly tell me that they approve of this? Isn't it long over due to say bye bye to foreign oil dependency? Pleeeeeease! This is insane! We don't have to be paying this! People please wake up!

It was Mr. Bush, Bob...then he dug into the issue and fought to lower the price of gasoline. What is Mr. Obama doing?

Seems to an on going problem. I haven't seen any admistration deal with it yet long term
Maybe we could close a few more refineary's or export several million more oil products overseas daily
