CLEVELAND (AP) — The father of one of four college students killed when their plane crashed in suburban Cleveland says the four were apparently just taking a late-night flight to see the city.

Bryan Marcelli (mar-SELL'-ee) of Massillon in northeastern Ohio says his son Lucas Marcelli was a hard-working student but not a risk taker who had wrapped up his first day of classes.

Marcelli said Tuesday the four Case Western Reserve University students planned to go up, take a look around and come right back to the same airport.

The plane crashed and exploded shortly after takeoff from Cuyahoga County Regional Airport about 10 p.m. Monday.

Marcelli and two other students on the plane were members of the university's varsity wrestling team.
