SHERIFF’S OFFICE

September 1, 2014
Salem News

- Penny Wisbeth, Hazel Run Road, Salineville, called for a deputy at 5:48 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with an intoxicated Casey Korbel, who said her husband, Aaron, had assaulted after asking her to come to the residence. Mr. Korbel reportedly grabbed his wife by the ponytail and neck, but the deputy did not observe any marks on her. Wisbeth told a different story. She said Mrs. Korbel showed up unannounced and kicked the door open when her husband would not let her in. She said Mr. Korbel did shove his wife back outside as she was assaulting him. None of the parties wished to file charges, and Mrs. Korbel was given a ride to her home on state Route 39.
