BELOIT - West Branch split a tri-match Saturday with Southeast and Crestwood.
The Warriors first knocked off Southeast 25-13, 25-18. Paige Walsh led the Warriors with nine points, two aces and three blocks, followed by Lexington Pittman with seven points and two aces, Pavin Heath with 12 assists and three blocks, Sydney Townes with 10 kills and Kaylee Manning with 14 digs.
For the Pirates, Danielle Norquist and Nikki Romosca both had three kills, Savannah Woodard had 10 kills and Riley Norquest had four digs.
The Warriors' outcome with Crestwood was different as the Red Devils won 25-16, 25-19. Heath led the Warriors with four points, two aces, 11 assists, five kills and three blocks, along with Walsh with five points, Whitney Wallace with four points and an ace, Townes with six kills, and Manning with 23 digs.
Holly Hoffman led the Red Devils with six points and 23 assists, followed by JoAnna Ondash with six points, Morgan Strenk with nine kills, and Hayley Zigman with eight kills and nine blocks.
The Warriors are now 3-3 overall and hosts Alliance on Tuesday.
WARREN - The Springfield volleyball team had little trouble with Champion as the Tigers picked up the win 25-6, 25-13, 25-13.
For the Tigers (4-2), Callie Ford had 10 kills and nine points, followed by Quinn Crowe with 11 kills, one block and two points, Elizabeth Thompson with five kills, four points and 25 assists, Kasey Kohler with four kills and four points, and Caitlyn Cyrus with four points and five blocks.
Also scoring for the Tigers was Emily Stacy with 21 points and seven aces, Brooke Bullen with six points, Nikki Bovo with three points, Brianna Yemma with one point and one ace, and Courtney Cyrus with six blocks.
Springfield also won the junior varsity match 25-18, 25-14 as Melissa Iamurri led the Tigers with seven points.
The Tigers head to Lisbon on Tuesday.
