Leetonia Sportman's Club hosting Kids Day Sept. 27
LEETONIA - The Leetonia Sportsman's Club will host its 37th annual Kids Day Saturday, Sept. 27.
The clubgrounds are located along East High Street. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and run continuously throughout the day.
There will be shooting, archery and fishing events for children ages 6-15.?Trophies will be awarded to contest winners. Raffle prizes will be given away. A wiener toast will be held. Everything is free.

Memorial Building sponsoring upcoming public bus trips
SALEM - The Salem Memorial Building has three bus trips scheduled over the next four months.
Like surprises? Sign up for the Mystery Trip on Saturday, Sept. 20. Cost is $20.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, ride the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad and enjoy the fall scenery. Bus and train ticket is $30.
On Saturday, Dec. 20, enjoy a Christmas program at Stan Hywett Hall & Gardens in Akron. Bus and entry ticket is $30.

Reservations being accepted for holiday trip to New York
SALEM - Reservations are being accepted for the Salem Choir Boosters' Dec. 13 bus trip to New York City.
The trip is open to the public. A 54-seat deluxe charter bus will depart from the Salem High School parking lot at 11 p.m. Friday Dec. 12. The bus will arrive the following morning at 7 a.m. at the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. Passengers will then have the entire day to enjoy the city at their own pace.
The bus will pick up all passengers at 9:00 p.m. with a return to Salem at 6 a.m. Sunday.
Cost is $90 per person. Payment is due at the time of reservation to secure your seat on the bus.
Order forms may be picked up at either the Salem High School office (330-332-8905) or Salem Computer Center on Second St. in Salem (330-332-2201). Tour protection is available for an additional $10.

'Global War on Terror Wall of Remembrance' at fair
SALEM - The traveling "Global War On Terror (GWOT) Wall of Remembrance" will be featured at the Mahoning Veterans Memorial during the Canfield Fair.
The Mahoning Veterans Memorial (MVM ) is located between gates 7 and 8 along Route 46 next to Western Reserve Village.
The Global War on Terror (GWOT) Wall of Remembrance is sponsored by The Mahoning County Veteran Service Commission as an outreach project to bring awareness to the individuals that you have served since 9-11 and their families.

Goodwill to hold job seekers workshop on Sept. 15
YOUNGSTOWN -Goodwill will hold a free resume development and job seeking skills workshop on Sept. 15.
The event will be held at the Goodwill store at 15765 state Route 170 from 1-4 p.m.
Those attending will receive instruction in job interviewing, completing applications and resume preparation.
Each participant will develop and receive a resume free of charge.
The workshop is free and open to the public, however class size is limited and reservations must be made by signing up at the store or by calling 330-385-7998.
Spaghetti dinner will benefit the Zane Carter Foundation
WELLSVILLE - A benefit spaghetti honoring the late Zane Carter will be held from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the Sons of Italy Lodge #657, 327 Main St.
Cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child. Carryouts will be available.
There will be a silent auction, a DJ and Zumba.

United Soccer Association sponsoring benefit dinner
WINONA- The United Soccer Association will host a benefit Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Winona Friends Church on Whinnery Road to help with its scholarship fund.
The dinner will consist of Swiss Steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls, desserts and coffee, tea or water.
The cost of the meal will be $10 per person and $6 for children 3 to 10.
