SALEM - Euthella D. Wellman, 94, died at 4:28 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at the Salem Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born May 1, 1920 in Hubble, W.Va., a daughter of the late Shird and Leona (Bias) Adkins.
Euthella came to Salem from Baltimore, MD in 1954. She was formerly employed by the former Persky's, Jean Frock's Dress Shop, Salem Pottery and Heck's Department Store.
Mrs. Wellman was a member of the Greenford Christian Church.
Her husband Hal M. Wellman, whom she married Oct. 31, 1945, preceded her in death March 2, 1999.
Survivor's include two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Denise) Merriman of Winona and Mrs. George (Sandra) Close of Salem; four grandchildren, Michelle Hulsizer, Scott Merriman, Lynn Smeltzer and Julie Close; and, two great-grandchildren, Cole Smeltzer and Dylan Hulsizer.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Laughlin officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
