BELOIT - God's Quad Quartet will perform at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at East Goshen Friends Church on state Route 165. The personnel of the group has changed many times over the years. Today's members are Jay Clark of Salem, lead, who has performed with the group for 19 years; Mark Burcaw of North Benton, baritone, also with the group for 19 years; Lee Kurtz of Columbiana, bass, has sung for four years with God's Quad, and Becky Vignon of Columbiana, tenor, two years.
ALLIANCE - Nisha Verdinek will speak when Womens Aglow Alliance Area Lighthouse meets at 10 a.m. Sept. 2 at Alliance Christian Center, 670 W. Main St. Admission is $3. Verdinek, who was born in the United States to Pakistani parents, recently survived Steven Johnson Syndrome. She and her husband Daniel live in Austintown with their children, Jonah, 3; and Daniela, 1.
The Heritage Gospel Jubilee will cap the summer with a “Sundae on Friday” ice cream social on Aug. 29 at the Jericho Center in Cortland. Ice cream with all the sundae toppings will be provided for the fellowship following the concert. Christine McLean of Carrollton will bring her music ministry, “Sharing God’s Gift,” to the monthly gospel sing. McLean has been singing southern gospel music for churches, revivals, nursing homes, fairs and picnics since 2006. She lives on a family farm where she and her husband raise beef cows, vegetables and flowers. Also appearing with McLean will be the Golden Street Singers, hosts of the Jubilee. SALEM - The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. The meal will be sponsored by the Salem Community Foundation. The menu offers meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, applesauce, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, and ice cream sundaes.

COLUMBIANA - Grace Church of Columbiana will have a tailgate-style worship service on the shaded green outside the church at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Participants are invited to bring a lawn chair and wear their favorite team colors. The coffee hour will feature hot dogs and other snacks.
