August 15, 2014
Salem News

First responders with KLG Ambulance prepare to lift Zachary Michael Robles, 19, Center Street, Leetonia, after a two-vehicle accident Thursday evening at the intersection of state Route 172 and Depot Road in Hanover Township. Robles, who was driving a Dodge Dakota pickup southbound on Depot, collided with a white utility van driven by Thomas Shook, 70, Toronto, who was westbound on Route 172. Highway patrol trooper Jodi Bowlen said a witness told her Robles had stopped at the southbound sign and then pulled forward when he was struck by the van. Shook and Robles were both taken to the hospital. Bowlen is continuing to investigate the crash, with assistance from trooper Eric Derrington. Hanover Township firefighters provided traffic control and a sheriff's deputy also responded. The vehicles were removed from the scene by Sinsley Towing and Baker's Towing.
