Salem News

- A Lisbon area woman reported at 2:36 p.m. Monday she received a call from a man calling himself David Chamber, who claimed she owed $14,056 in taxes from 2013. The woman explained she is on disability and does not have that kind of money and Chamber reportedly responded if she did not send him $500 in cash the Lisbon Police Department would come to her home and arrest her. A deputy called the phone number back and a man answered with a foreign accent, but agreed he was Chamber. When asked about the call to the woman, the man reportedly became belligerent and stated the deputy should mind his own business.
