Salem News

Acclaimed musicians and Salem High graduates Vicki Schaeffer, class of 1974, and Andy Schuller, class of 1976, performed a well-attended benefit recital Sunday featuring their organ and trumpet skills at the Salem United Presbyterian Church. The event benefits the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and the Richard J. Solove Research Institute at The Ohio State University through the efforts of fellow Salem High graduate Tom Wagner, class of 1975. An avid local cyclist, he will participate in the Pelotonia, a 100-mile benefit bike ride next month. He is riding in memory of SHS staff members stricken by cancer. Those interested can visit www.pelotonia.org. To donate, visit the site, click on search profiles, Tom Wagner, ID #TW0030. For information, contact Wagner at 330-692-1469. (Salem News photos by J.D.
