LISBON - A July 28 preliminary hearing has been set in Columbiana County Municipal Court for a Minnesota woman involved in a custody dispute.
Amy Lorraine Winterfeldt, 44, New London, Minn., was reportedly being sought by authorities in Minnesota and Wisconsin after she failed to meet her 4-year-old son's father in Appleton, Wis., for a custody exchange.
Here, Winterfeldt is charged with having weapons while under a disability for allegedly having an unloaded Savage Striker .308 caliber and a loaded 9mm Glock 26, both in her possession on Saturday.
She had been stopped by a highway patrol trooper because of an equipment violation while driving near Minerva.
During the traffic stop, Winterfeldt was found to have a warrant from Kandiyohi County, Minn. for deprivation of parental rights after she fled instead of delivering her son to her ex-husband. According to court records from Kandiyohi County, on July 8 she lost custody of the boy to his father when a dissolution was granted between them.
On Monday, Columbiana Municipal Court Judge Carol Robb saw Winterfeldt by video arraignment, set her bond at $25,000 cash or surety and found she qualifies for a court-appointed attorney.
