COLUMBIANA - The city of Columbiana is planning a town cleanup from Aug. 4-8.
Residents can drop off items at a designated location in Firestone Park from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 4-6 and 8 or from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 7. A photo ID and recent utility bill are required.
Residents unable to drop items off at the park can place items on their curb lawn by the morning of Aug. 4.
City employees will conduct the curbside cleanup in strictly enforced zones.
Zone One, encompassing North Main and East Park (northeast quadrant of the city), will be picked up on Aug. 4. An Aug. 5 pickup is scheduled for Zone Two, covering East Park and South Main (southeast). Zone 3, encompassing North Main and West Park (northwest) will be picked up on Aug. 6. Zone 4, West Park and South Main (southwest) will be picked on Aug. 7.
Items not placed on curb lawns by the scheduled day will not be picked up.
There is a limit of three large items per household and tires will be accepted. Unaccepted items include electronics, wet paint, car batteries, or any appliances with Freon, including refrigerators, air conditioners and dehumidifiers.
