Scavenger hunt being held today at Memorial Park
SALEM - A scavenger hunt, free of cost and open to the public, begins at 6:30 p.m. today in pavilion nine at Waterworth Memorial Park.
This event is hosted by Salem Parks and Recreation Department and Salem Public Library and led by Jason Reynolds of Columbiana Soil and Water Conservation District. For more information call 330-332-0042. Registration is not required.
Vendor, networking event is today at Guilford Lake Grille
LISBON - The Columbiana Area Business and Professional Women will host a vendor and networking event today at the Guilford Lake Grille, 7094 E. Lake Road.
LaBella Bar Pilates will offer a Barre class for $10 at 4 p.m. Kerry Flory, the Bling Bling Lady, will join other vendors for sales and networking beginning at 5 p.m.
A pit bike race gets under way at 7:30 p.m. with sign-ups beginning at 6:30 p.m. Classes are 10" and 12" wheels, pro, clutch, open, XR, TTR and womens.

Kooltime Kruisers hosting midnight car cruise Saturday
COLUMBIANA - The Kooltime Kruisers will host the third annual midnight car cruise to drive out hunger at 9 p.m. Saturday at the Pizza Hut in the Oakmont Plaza, rain or shine.
The entry fee for cars is $5 or five non-perishable food items to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Admission to the show is free to the public, but spectators are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items.
"We are grateful to the Kooltime Kruisers for their continued support," said Michael Iberis, executive director, Second Harvest Food Bank. "The midnight cruise is a popular event here in our valley, and generates much needed funds to feed our friends and neighbors. Last year, the show raised $1,000 and collected nearly 200 pounds of food," he said.

SALEM - The Salem High School Class of 1952 will host its annual coverdish picnic at 1 p.m. Aug. 3 at the home of Jack Howells on New Middletown Road.
'Clean Out the Cupboards' planned Aug. 11 at library
SALEM - Salem Public Library's Getting Crafty class will have a variety of crafts to choose from during "Clean Out the Cupboards" from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11.
Leftover materials from previous craft classes will be available and attendees can choose a project.

ACS's 'Look Good... Feel Better' program is Aug. 6
SALEM - The American Cancer Society's "Look Good...Feel Better" program is slated from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 6 in classrooms three and four at Salem Regional Medical Center, second floor.
During the workshop, a trained volunteer cosmetologist helps women cope with appearance-related side effects of treatment by offering assistance with make-up application, skin care, and hair and wig techniques. Participants will receive a free cosmetics kit, and should bring a T-shirt of any color that can be cut for a special project. Registration is required at 800-227-2345.
SRMC sponsoring Red Cross blood drive on Aug. 13
SALEM - The Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 13 in the hospital's tower conference rooms one and two, located on SRMC's ground floor concourse.
Donors are encouraged to park in SRMC's parking deck which offers direct access to the concourse.

SALEM-A public breakfast buffet will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Masonic Building, 788 E. State St. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 10 and free for children under 2.
The menu offers pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea.
The building is equipped with a handicapped accessible elevator. Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.
