SALEM - Kenneth W. Hogue Sr., 68, of Salem, died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday at Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born on March 20, 1946 in Salem, Ohio, the son of the late John and Ruth (Snow) Hogue.
He had been employed at Kaiser / National Refractory for 29 years, and was a 1964 graduate of Leetonia High School.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mary F. Grimm, whom he married on Jan. 27, 1979, their children, Kenneth Hogue Jr., New Philadelphia, Ohio, Tammy McGhee of Salem, Jason (Sarah) Hogue of Arizona, Meda Hirst of Salem, Carol (James) Meyer of Brighton, Col., and Lori (David) Darby of Ludowici, Ga.; siblings, Jack (Brenda) Hogue of Boston, Mass., and Rebecca (Daryl) Maenz of Lisbon.
A Celebration of Life Services will be observed at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem. The Rev. Charles F. Hamilton of the Upper Room in Columbiana will officiate. The burial will be private for the family. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
The family is asking for donation of new handmade full size quilts, tie or fleece blankets. The Salem Regional Medical Center is collecting new blankets for their hospice cart. Please bring one to be donated in Mr. Hogue's memory. You may also make a donation to Hospice of the Valley.
