SALEM - Gaylord Thom "Guy" Kellem died on Friday, July 11, 2014 at St. Elizabeth's Health Center in Youngstown in the presence of his loving family.
The 67-year old Ohio resident was stationed in Germany (1966 1968) while serving his country in the U.S. Army. Guy earned a bachelor's of arts degree, majoring in anthropology from Cleveland State University and a master's degree in sociology/anthropology from Kent State University.
Guy was devoted to his higher power, his wife and family, and to his life's work of counseling the chemically dependent.
Guy, son of the late William H. and Doris M. (Hinson) Kellem and son-in law of the late Mary J. (Ziska) Hanousek, is survived by his beloved wife and partner of 39 years, Dr. Chris Hanousek; loving son Eric and daughter-in-law Cyndi; dearly loved grandchildren Monica and Meghan; stepson Robert Niederriter; brother Craig and sister-in-law Kasey; father-in-law Norman Hanousek, and sister-in-law Donna Hanousek.
At his request, arrangements are private.
