'Fly-by carry out' dinner

Golf tourney to aid Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary
SALEM - Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary will conduct its sixth annual Gavin Ward Memorial Golf Tournament on July 19 at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course, 2745 Grandview Road, Lake Milton. The registration fee is $65 per person and includes a golf cart, beverages, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The format is a four person scramble. Teams that register and pay by July 15 will receive a dozen golf balls per team.
Prizes will be featured on each hole. The grand prize is a two-year lease on a new Chevy Cruze which would be awarded to a player who achieves a hole-in-one on the eighth hole. Prizes are donated by Sweeney Chevrolet.
The golf tournament is named in honor of Gavin Ward, a special young volunteer at Alchemy Acres who passed away at the age of 12. Proceeds benefit the pets at the sanctuary. For more information and tee times call 330-332-4897.
Prime rib roast dinner
offered at Shrine Club
NORTH LIMA - The Youngstown Shrine Club will hold its annual prime rib roast dinner at 6 p.m. July 26 at the club's outdoor pavilion, 1735 W. South Range Road. Refreshments will be served at 4 p.m.

Community Theatre releases 2014-15 production schedule
SALEM - Salem Community Theatre at 490 E. State St. has announced the production line-up for its 2014-15 theatrical season.
Opening the season is the comedy "Unnecessary Farce," an award-winning stage comedy by Paul Slade Smith.
The musical-comedy "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" returns to the SCT stage after 14 years. The production opens on Oct. 24 for seven performances over three weekends.
For the holiday season, SCT stages another one of the hugely popular "Nunsense" series of shows, "Nuncrackers: The Nunsense Christmas Musical," on the first two weekends of December.
Opening Feb. 20, 2015, for two weekends is "A Few Good Men," written by Aaron Sorkin.
The Neil Simon comedy "God's Favorite" descends to the stage starting May 1.
SCT presents its summer musical, "Oliver!" July 1 through Aug. 16, 2015, for seven performances over three weekends.
In addition to the six regular season shows, the theater plans to present "director specials." These shows would be scheduled between regular-season shows, and would most likely run for only one weekend.
Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors (62 and over) and $8 for students. Season tickets for the upcoming line-up of productions are now on sale, with a redesigned and simplified pricing structure. Prices are $70 for adults, $60 for seniors, and $35 for students for the complete six-show season.

'Coupon Mania' planned at Wednesday Night Bingo
SALEM - "Coupon mania" is planned when doors open at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday for the Wednesday Night Bingo at the Saxon Club, 1980 state Route 9. Early bird games start at 6:30 p.m.
Annette Jermolenko, bingo manager, said in addition to coupons, gift cards and gas cards will be awarded if attendance reaches 76 players or above.
The kitchen will be open serving hot dogs, coney dogs, sloppy joes, assorted desserts and free coffee. Proceeds will be directed to the Saxon Club Scholarship Fund which benefits youth from the entire area. For more information call 234-564-5964.
