LEETONIA - Sean Joseph Quick, 41, of Leetonia, (formerly of Hopewell Junction/Highland, N.Y.) died early Saturday morning in Leetonia.
He was born on April 29, 1973 in Beacon, N.Y., a son of Roxann (Wilkin) Quick and Arthur A. Quick.
He has been a resident of the area for the last eight years, coming from New York. He was a carpenter by trade and worked for several construction companies in the area. He was a member of the Carpenters Union in upstate N.Y. and had his own school where he taught Ti Quan Do and was a second degree black belt. He was a fabulous artist, great cook and loved to fish.
In addition to his parents of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., he is survived by a son, Sean A. Quick of Highland, N.Y.; siblings, Arthur O. Quick of Jacksonville, Florida, and Amanda (Matthew) Benedict of Saugerties, N.Y.; granddaughter Emma Rose Quick; maternal grandmother Elizabeth Jane Wilkin of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; uncle Larry Wilkin of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; Aunt Harriett Sorbello, Kingstone, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews, Maxwell, Skyler and Jazmine; and his companion, Amada Lynn Mancuso of Leetonia.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather John James Wilkin, paternal grandparents Orville and Matilda Palen.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 1617 East State Street, Salem, Ohio 44460. The Rev. P. Doug George of the Salem First United Methodist Church will be officiating. A time of visitation with the family and friends will follow the services at the funeral home.
A trust fund has been established for his granddaughter Emma Rose Quick. If you would like to make a donation to the fund, mail it to the funeral home at PO Box 113, Salem, Ohio 44460-0113. After July 10, donations can be made at any Chase Bank.
