SALEM - Louise M. Esterle, age 83, of Salem, died at 8:38 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 30, 1930 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Constantine "Koni" and Pauline (Luczak) Langenbach.
She had been a secretary at the A&P Warehouse and was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was a long time Sunday School teacher and volunteered at the Salem Community Hospital. She loved going to the Salem Community Center and enjoyed keeping fit with all her friends.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma.
Her husband, Adam Esterle, whom she married May 12, 1951, preceded her in death June 19, 2014. Her parents, and a daughter, Karen Purdy also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Michelle) Esterle of Salem; a daughter, Lynn (David) Kimpel of Novi, Michigan; a brother Robert (Evonne) Langenbach of Sarasota, Florida; seven grandchildren, Timothy (Amanda) Esterle, Kyle Esterle, Jennifer Esterle, Jason (Gretchen) Kimpel, Katelyn Kimpel, Adam (Charlotte) Purdy and Allyson (Grant) Walker; three great-grandchildren, Carson, Emma and Ian.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor William Wilkins. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home and from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
