LISBON - The Lisbon Baptist Food Pantry at 6428 Lisbon Road will be open from 9:30 to 11 a.m. June 19. Attendees must bring identification.
Document shredding planned at SPL
SALEM - An opportunity for Salem area residents to safely and confidentially dispose of bank statements, old tax forms, receipts, canceled checks, etc., is slated from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 28 in the parking lot of Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St.
Protect-n-Shred of Cortland will provide the free service and items will be shredded on library premises. Do not bring plastic, cardboard or newspapers to be shredded. Registration is not required. For more information call the library at 330-332-0042.
Pageant applications still being accepted
LISBON - Applications are still being accepted for the Little Miss Appleblossom/Little Mr. Applebud contest. Applicants must be between the ages of 4 to 9 years by Sept. 15, 2014. Forms may be found on the lisbonareachamber.com website.
Antique, craft show spaces still available
SALEM - Dealer spaces are still available for the Salem Kiwanis Club's 50th Antique and Craft Show to be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 19 at Centennial Park. The event includes food, music and basket raffles. Admission is free to the public.

Salem Masons to host breakfast
SALEM-A public breakfast buffet will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. June 28 at the Salem Masonic Building, 788 E. State St. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under age 10 and free for children under 2. The menu offers pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea.
The building is equipped with a handicapped accessible elevator. Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.
Rotary Roadrunners sponsoring lunch
EAST PALESTINE - The East Palestine Rotary Roadrunners is sponsoring its fifth "Lunch for a Cure" on Tuesday. Lunches can be picked up at the First United Presbyterian Church, 109 W. Rebecca St., or will be delivered to the East Palestine area between 10:30 a.m. and noon.

Wine Festival returning June 28
COLUMBIANA - The second annual Columbiana Wine Festival will be held from noon to 8 p.m. June 28, rain or shine, on the grounds of the American Legion Post 290 at 44403 state Route 14.
L'Uva Bella Winery of Poland, Myrddin and Mastropietro wineries of Berlin Center, Barrel Run Crossings of Rootstown, Viking Winery of Kent and Old Firehouse Winery of Geneva will be featured at the festival, presenting the wines of Ohio.
Organizers have announced advance-sale locations which include the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce office and the Wine Connection in Columbiana, Mason's Steakhouse in Salem, and Chalet Premier in North Lima.
Admission is $25 at the gate or $20 in advance by purchasing at the sale locations or online at columbianawinefest.com. A designated driver admission has been added this year for a $10 admission fee.

Popular local bands Donkey Engine and Dr. Freshbutter will perform bluegrass and jazz fusion music throughout the festival and food vendors will be tempting festival-goers with award-winning barbecue, tasty Italian offerings, pizza, premium coffees and fine cheeses.
Artisans from all over Columbiana and Mahoning Counties will showcase wine accessories, specialty wine food items as well as pottery, jewelry and many different kinds of wine-themed gift items. A world-class Amateur Winemaking Competition will also be held during the festival this year. Entrants can compete against the area's best winemakers, watch the judging process and then receive professional judging notes. Announcement of winners will take place on site during the festival. The event is being hosted by the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Columbiana businesses of Whispering Pines Village and Sitler the Printer and is a 21-and-over-only event.
