Salem News

The Salem Summer Concert Series at Waterworth Memorial Park continues at 6 p.m. Sunday in the Orashan Memorial Civic Center Band Shell. The free concert features Manhattan with Rich and Lori Juhn. Manhattan is a five-piece group specializing in dance music from the sixties to the present that includes disco, rock, oldies, Latin rock, funk-Soul, Motown, blues and country. Gary Hill of New Castle, Pa., bass player, instrumental in the founding of Manhattan, was convinced that vocal harmony was the ticket to entertainment. He has been playing with this group since 2001. Other members of Manhattan are Rob Verone on rhythm guitar, Sam Argiro on drums, and Rich and Lori Juhn, vocalists and accomplished players on keyboard and saxophone. Pictured are, from left, Verone, Argiro, Lori Juhn, Rich Juhn and Hill. Attendees are reminded to bring lawn chairs. For more information call Salem Parks Department at 330-332-5512.
