LEETONIA - Martina T. Baulo, 92, of Main St., died at 12:33 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Baulo was born Nov. 29, 1921, in Leetonia, a daughter of Domenick and Antonia (Celano) Colaizzi and had lived in this area all of her life.
Martina worked at the former Dandee Chip Company and also Main Street Market in Leetonia. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Leetonia where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society and the Mission Society. She was also the secretary for the Women of the Order of the Sons of Italy.
Her husband Gene T. Baulo, whom she married Aug. 23, 1947, died Aug. 28, 1997.
She is survived by her three daughters, Nancy Bloor (Warren Steevs) of Citrus Heights, Calif., DeeDee (Thomas) Thomas of Leetonia and Marilyn (Samuel) DeCaria of Columbiana; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Ruozzo and Jensie Franket; and three brothers, Philip, Jerry and Robert Colaizzi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Leetonia. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 am Friday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
