EAST PALESTINE- Dorothy Mae Musser, 87, of East Palestine died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday at the Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Musser was born Dec. 24, 1926 in East Palestine, a daughter of the late Robert and Sarah Mankin Gorby, and had lived here most of her life. She had been employed at the former W. S. George Pottery and the former Isaly Store. She had also been a cook at various local restaurants and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of East Palestine.
Her husband, Raymond Musser, whom she married May 16, 1946, died Nov. 15, 2008.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane (Glenn) Vankirk of East Palestine and Marie (Carl) Peterson of Columbiana; two sons, Raymond "Pete" (Joann) Musser of East Palestine and Robert (Valerie) Musser of New Waterford; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home in East Palestine with Pastor Pam Price officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
