Salem News

Salem Mayor John Berlin administers the oath of office to new part-time Salem Police Ptl. Elizabeth Perry of East Palestine on Monday afternoon. Perry is taking the spot vacated by the resignation of part-time Ptl. Andrew Straley, who's the Salineville police chief and left due to conflicts with his schedule. Perry also works part-time for the East Palestine Police Department. A graduate of Champion High School, she earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and completed her police officer training at Youngstown State University. (Salem News photo by Mary Ann Greier)
