SALEM Sylvia Blosser Hartley, 81, of Salem, passed away early Saturday morning, April 19, at Essex of Salem II.
Mrs. Hartley was born on Dec. 31, 1932, in New Hope, Va., a daughter of Samuel and Fanny (Craig) Blosser.
Sylvia was a member of Zion Hill Church of the Brethren. She married Robert E. Hartley on July 10, 1970, and was a homemaker.
Sylvia enjoyed taking walks, going to church, and working in her puzzle books. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughter, Nancy Taylor and her husband J.R. of Columbiana; son, Sam Hartley and his wife Danielle of New Waterford; granddaughters, Danielle and Tiffany Taylor and Madelyn Hartley; a brother, Clyde Blosser and his wife Kathryn of Stanton, Va.; and a sister, Eva Blosser of New Hope, Va.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, who passed away August 1990, and seven brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, 14550 New Buffalo Road, Columbiana.
