ELKTON - Barbara Ellen Thoman, 73, of Elkton, died at 2:53 a.m. Tuesday at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born Dec. 15, 1940, in Lisbon, she was the eldest daughter of the late Emil "Jingles" and Wilma (Morris) Mills.
Mrs. Thoman, a 1958 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, retired as the Columbiana County law librarian and was a longtime Elkrun Township clerk. She was an active member of the Elkton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Thoman, whom she married June 13, 1959; two daughters, Tami (Phil) James of Hanoverton and Tina (Don) Coleman of Elkton; a son, John (Patti) Thoman of Lisbon; three grandchildren; two great-grandsons, Trent and Tanner Coleman of Elkton; two brothers, Ronnie Mills of Elkton and Lloyd "Jingles" Mills of Lisbon; and two sisters, Alice Brown of Salem and Cheryl Mills of Lisbon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home in Lisbon with Pastor Richard "Dick" Smith of her church officiating. Burial will follow at the Kemble Cemetery in Elkton.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
