HOMEWORTH - Dorothy M. Smith, 94, of Homeworth passed away at her daughter's home on Sunday, April 20, 2014.
Dorothy was born in Knox Township, on May 30, 1919, the daughter of the late William and Stella (Stanley) Risden.
She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, enjoyed spending winters in Florida, traveling, square dancing, having been a member of the Minerva Burliques.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Norma) Smith of Salem, Carolyn (Ramon) Oesch of Homeworth; five grandchildren, Jill (Jeff) Reisner, Brian (Tiffany) Smith, Brad (Jen) Smith, Erin (Kevin) Gillingham, Corey (Becky) Oesch; 13 great-grandchildren, Brent and Renee Reisner, Austin and Claire Smith, Brock, Jed, and Brynn Smith, Hunter, Rianna and Neely Gillingham, Madison, Titus and Ledger Oesch.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elzie W. Smith whom she married on Feb. 14, 1942, and passed Dec. 31, 2007; a son, Ron Smith; and a brother, Robert Risden.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Gednetz-Ruzek Runeral home in Sebring with the Rev. Haan Phelps officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
