LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Monday, David D. Crooms, 47, Clarks Mill Road, Hammondsville, was bound over to the grand jury on a burglary charge for allegedly going into the apartment Mervin Jones and assaulting him on March 30.
An April 28 preliminary hearing was set for James L. Heverly, 40, South Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly attempting to sell to a local scrap yard a large amount of copper wire worth $2,977 which was reported stolen from U-Go Auto Sales in Mahoning County.
Matthew W. Juillerat, 23, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on a robbery charge. Bond is set at $150,000 cash or surety. Juillerat was accused of demanding a man's wallet while holding a 7.5-inch knife on April 7 and then scuffling with the couple for the knife.
Steven A. Chestnut, 47, Depot Road, Lisbon, was fined $800, sentenced to 10 days in jail, had his license suspended for 12 months and required 40 hours community service for OVI second offense and driving under FRA suspension. A turn signal violation was dismissed.
Mark R. Macek, 41, Brushville Road, East Palestine, was fined $725, had his license suspended for a year, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail for OVI first offense and failure to control.
Trenton L. Holenchick, 18, North Market Street, Lisbon, was fined $300, credited with three days served in jail and required 40 hours community service for menacing and obstructing official business for climbing out of a window and standing on the roof to keep from being detained on a warrant on March 17. On March 5, Holenchick threatened to harm Nicholas Still by telling him he would jump him and throw him over a bridge.
Joseph M. Smith, 28, West Ninth Street, Salem, was fined $250, credited with eight days in jail, sentenced to 22 additional days in jail and required 50 hours community service for aggravated trespassing amended from a felony burglary charge. Smith went into an East Fifth Street, Salem, home on April 13 by forcing his way in and breaking items before leaving.
Brandon T. Folsom, 25, Depot Road, Salem, was fined $250 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Jonathan E. Mitchell, 40, Scroggs Road, Lisbon, was fined $200, credited with one day served in jail and required 30 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for throwing gasoline on his live-in girlfriend Jodie Harris and threatening to burn her and the house down on Dec. 22.
Rick J. Willis Jr., 24, Spring street, Salineville, was fined $100, credited with three days served in jail and required 75 hours community service for receiving stolen property for selling Amanda Tennant an iPad on June 25, which was stolen.
William M. Mull III, 26, Euclid Street, Salem, was fined $300, sentenced to three days in jail and had his license suspended for 180 days for hit skip and failure to control.
Robert Davis III, 28, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was fined $100 and credited with one day in jail for disorderly conduct for yelling and acting aggressive toward police and others on Friday.
Matthew Pittman, 24, West State Street, Salem, was fined $100 and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Thomas G. Clark, 35, Lisbon Canfield Road, Salem, was fined $100 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension.
James W. Sprague, 21, McCracken Road, Salem, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
An April 28 pretrial was set for Joshua D. Crooms, 24, Water Street, Salineville, cited with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly having Abby Pierson in the backseat of his vehicle on Friday when she had a protection order against him.
A May 6 pretrial was set for Amanda L. Shirey, 28, Cleveland Street, Salem, cited with domestic violence for allegedly striking Dustin J. Hulton on Saturday.
A May 22 pretrial was set for Brian L. Cramer, 27, Main Street, Wellsville, charged with two counts of assault for allegedly kicking Brandon Rawson and Cody Gill repeatedly in the face after Rawson was hit with a beer bottle by Tanya Powell at My Bar, Main Street, Wellsville, on Saturday.
A June 10 pretrial was set for Tanya E. Powell, 25, Garner Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly striking Rawson in the face.
A June 9 pretrial was set for Ashley L. Sekely, 31, West Perry Street, Salem, cited with driving under FRA suspension.
A June 10 pretrial was set for Gary A. Wright Jr., 47, Continental Drive, Salem, cited with OVI third offense, driving under FRA suspension, improper registration and open container.
A June 10 pretrial was set for Isaac L. LeMasters Jr., 44, Salineville Road, Salineville, cited with driving under a 12-point suspension.
A June 10 pretrial was set for Lee W. Wyant, 38, Eagleton Road, Lisbon, cited with a stop sign violation.
