Quakertown Super Kids’ soap box derby is June 7

The ninth annual Quakertown Super Kids' soap box derby will be held on June 7 on Broadway Avenue, Salem. The race is open to children ages 7-19 with a physical or mental handicap. The race is free, all costs are paid by sponsors. Racers must pre-register by April 30 by contacting Randy Keene at 330-774-7888 or Jan Keene at janwel2002@yahoo.com and leave a name and phone number. Practice day is May 10. Early in May, all pre-registered racers will receive an appointment time for their practice. Racers are reminded to bring all paperwork (available at quakertownskc.com) to practice day, along with their helmet. New racers will be issued a helmet on practice day. Volunteers are needed on work day to inspect the cars at 11 a.m. April 26 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5532 in Washingtonville.
