Church hosting jewelry, handbag sale
COLUMBIANA - A jewelry and handbag sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Columbiana First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St.
Reservations being accepted for luncheon
SALEM - Reservations are still being accepted for the Mullins Office Ladies luncheon which begins at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.

First Baptist Church sponsoring Banquet
SALEM - The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. Next week's sponsor is the First Baptist Church.
The menu offers tomato soup, ham, scalloped potatoes, corn, applesauce, fresh vegetables and fruit and cookies.

Salem Historical Society will meet
SALEM - The Salem Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. April 8. The program, "Climbing Your Family Tree" will be presented by Cassie Bailey Yarsky.
Yarsky, a 1968 Salem graduate with a degree from Kent State University, first became interested in genealogy after going through her grandmother's photos and mementos. For the last 10 years, she has worked on her family's genealogy every day.
Yarsky has traced and documented both sides of her family back to the 1600s in America and one side of the family back to England in the 1500s.
She is a member of the Pickaway Plains Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, where she is the current registrar, a member of the Pickaway County Historical Society, and a member of the Ohio Genealogical Society.
A township fiscal officer in central Ohio, she volunteers transcribing records for the Ancestry World Archives Online Project and is a contributing member to Find a Grave.

Farm Animal Baby Shower is Sunday
CANFIELD - Mill Creek MetroParks will hold its annual Farm Animal Baby Shower, presented by WFMJ/WBCB, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Mill Creek MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road.
Families are encouraged to meet new arrivals to the MetroParks Farm including triplet goats, twin lambs and bottle baby calf (all born this spring), chicks, ducks, turkeys, geese, etc.

Book sale planned at Columbiana Library
COLUMBIANA - The Friends of the Columbiana Library will hold a book sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 12 at the library. The sale includes hard and paperback books, music, audio books and movies, all at bargain prices.
Proceeds from the sale are donated back to the library for programming and equipment.
There is also a "members only preview sale" for Friends members from 6 to 8 p.m. April 11.
Memberships for the Friends of the Library may be purchased anytime at the library. For more information call 330-482-5509.
Golf clinic for women will begin April 16
SALEM - Beginning April 16, the Salem Memorial Building will host a six-weeks class to introduce women to the benefits of playing golf.
Classes will meet from 6 to 7:30 every Wednesday. Some classes will be held at the Memorial Building while others will be conducted at Pine Meadows Par 3 Golf Course.

W. Reserve community egg hunt is April 18
BERLIN CENTER - The Western Reserve community Easter egg hunt begins at 2 p.m. April 18 on the football field at Western Reserve K-12 campus.
All children from age 1 through sixth grade in Berlin and Ellsworth townships are invited.

Team All Caring Hospice holding sale
WASHINGTONIVLLE - Team All Caring Hospice will hold a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 24 at the Beaver Creek Sportsman's Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road.
Set-up starts at 7 a.m. A concession stand will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All profits from table fees, concessions and baked goods will benefit the American Cancer Society's Columbiana County Relay for Life. Team All Caring Hospice will participate in the Relay for Life on June 11 at Crestview High School.
Eight-foot tables are available for rent.
