- John W. Kelly was taken into custody after a chase through the Carmel Achor and Sprucevale areas of Middleton Township at about 5:30 p.m. Friday. The chase started on Union Ridge Road when deputies tried to stop the Cavalier for having expired plates. Kelly's vehicle reached speeds of up to 75 mph, deputies said. Kelly allegedly ran one car off the road near the intersection of Carmel Achor and Sprucevale, and nearly hit the Rogers Elementary building when it went through the school lot. The car finally pulled into Carmel Achor Cemetery, where deputies caught up with the passenger, Theresa DeCapio. Kelly went running into the woods and was later taken into custody on state Route 7 south of Rogers.
