Chili sale set at First Presbyterian Church Sunday
SALEM - The First Presbyterian Church at 436 E. Second St. will sell chili from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $5 per quart. Customers are asked to enter the parking lot from East Second Street and watch for signs.
Banquet in Salem features ham, chicken soup
SALEM - The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. Next week's sponsors are the First Presbyterian Church's Logo Group and Friends of the Banquet. The menu offers chicken noodle soup, ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, fresh vegetables and fruit and ice cream sundaes. Additional sponsors are needed. Annual rummage sale set in New Springfield April 4-5
NEW SPRINGFIELD - The public is invited to the annual rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 4 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 5 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 2427 Columbiana Road.
There will be clothing, household items, "trash and treasures" and miscellaneous.
Lunch will be available both days featuring homemade vegetable soup. The soup is also for sale by the quart for carryout.
Dinner theater planned at New Waterford church
NEW WATERFORD - The annual dinner theater begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 S. State St. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for 12 and under.

Clothing collection shed placed at North Lima church
NORTH LIMA - Good Hope Lutheran Church at 12030 Market St. is sponsoring a clothing drop off shed as a fundraiser and service to the community. On March 17, St. Pauly Textile installed one of its clothing collection sheds at the church for the community to use as a drop-off for clothing. The clothing will be distributed all over the United States and world to those who can use it. The church will receive four cents for every pound of clothing that is donated.
This program keeps clothing out of the landfill, helps out those in need, and helps out Good Hope Lutheran Church with funding. St. Pauly collects useable clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, linens, blankets and drapes.
The Walking Through Grief, Finding Your Path support group will meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. April 3 and 17 and May 1; and 5 to 6:30 p.m. April 1, 15, 29 and May 13 and 27. To register call 330-549-2406 or 234-567-1461.
Restored Quartet featured at Jericho Center March 28
CORTLAND - Restored Quartet from Akron will be the featured group at 7 p.m. March 28 at the Heritage Gospel Jubilee at the Jericho Center in Cortland. In the 15th year of their music ministry, Restored Quartet travels throughout northeast Ohio to sing southern gospel music at churches and Christian events. The Jubilee is hosted by the Golden Street Singers of Farmdale. Bill Hill of Leavittsburg, a retired firefighter for the City of Warren, will also sing. The Jericho Center is located at 2878 Warren Meadville Road, Cortland. The facility is handicap accessible. There is no admission charge for the two-hour concert.
