EAST PALESTINE - The Village of East Palestine Architectural Design Board meeting for today has been canceled.
First Presbyterian serving Banquet
SALEM - The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. Next week's sponsors are the First Presbyterian Church's Logo Group and Friends of the Banquet.
The menu offers chicken noodle soup, ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, fresh vegetables and fruit, ice cream sundaes.
Memorial Building's garage sale is April 5
SALEM - The Salem Memorial Building's indoor yard/garage sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 5 at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St.
An 8-foot tables and two chairs is available to rent for $10.
Register for a table at the Memorial Building or download a registration form at www.salemparksandrecreation.com. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
All profits benefit the Salem Memorial Building Association.
Marlington presenting 'Singing in the Rain'
ALLIANCE - Marlington High School is presenting "Singing in the Rain" at 7:30 p.m. March 28 and 29 and at 2 p.m. March 30 in the high school auditorium.
Tickets are $4 for students and $6 for adults and may be purchased in advance or at the door. There is no reserved seating. To purchase tickets contact Lorna Cleveland at the high school at 330-823-1300.
A dinner theater begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $20 for adults and $25 for senior citizens and children 10 and under and includes dinner and the show.

BL juniors sponsoring craft/vendor show
LISBON - The Beaver Local junior class is sponsoring a craft/vendor show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 12 at the high school. Tables are available for rent at $25 each by calling 330-429-2478.
Voting for Lisbon Alumni event ongoing
LISBON - Voting online for the "Dancing With the Alumni Stars" event on April 26 at the Salem Golf Club is available on the Lisbon Alumni Association's website at www.lisbonalumniassociation.com (PayPal account) to support your favorite dancing couple.
Votes are $2 each and the money goes to Student Scholarships for David Anderson seniors.
Radio Club will staff booth at show
AUSTINTOWN - The Western Reserve Amateur Radio Club (wrard - www.wrarc.net) will have a booth at the upcoming Greater Youngstown Home and Garden Show to be held March 28-30 at the Austintown Expo Center, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
There is still time to register at the show for the upcoming training classes in April for the entry-level technician's operating license. The classes will be weekly from 7 to 9 p.m. from April 2-30 at ITT Tech, 1030 Meridian Road. Classes will be taught by an American Radio Relay League (www.arrl.org) registered instructor.

Cemetery decorations need removed

Salem Chamber hosting 'Shred Day'
SALEM - The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a community "Shred Day" from 10 a.m. to noon April 12 in the chamber's parking lot at 713 E. State St.
Document destruction services will be provided by Cintas with a limit of five boxes or bags per vehicle. Cars and trucks are asked to enter through the alley off of East Pershing Avenue. For more information call the chamber at 330-337-3473.
Calla Community Church hosting benefit
CANFIELD - Calla Community Church is sponsoring a soup benefit for Stephanie Gearhaart at 4 p.m. March 21, or until sold out, at the church, 6482 W. Calla Road. Gearhaart was in a car accident in September 2013 and is continuing physical rehabilitation therapy at this time.

Heartland hosting 'Got Talent' Friday
COLUMBIANA - Area students will sing, dance and play instruments during Heartland's "Got Talent" on Friday in the school's auditorium.
The event, sponsored by Heartland Christian School's senior class of 2014, begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Cost per ticket at the door is $4 per person or $12 for families.
Winona Friends distributing food
WINONA - A food distribution is slated from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Winona Friends Church, 4615 Whinnery Road.

Heroes and Halos event scheduled
COLUMBIANA - The Heroes and Halos Vendor/Craft Fair is slated from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 29 at Firestone Park, pavilion one.
Heroes and Halos is a local organization that provides awareness, education, and outreach programs to the public regarding individuals with special needs and disabilities.
Vendors in attendance include Premier Jewelry, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Scentsy, Avon, 31, PartyLite, Young Living and Tastefully Simple. A snack table will be available. Proceeds from the snack table will benefit Columbiana Boy Scout Pack 16.
There also will be a silent auction table and 50/50 raffle tickets. The raffle winner will be drawn at 4 p.m.
