-Police responded to the 100 block of N. Lincoln Avenue at 11:53 p.m. Saturday in reference to an intoxicated driver and located the vehicle but did not observe and violations. The driver was not intoxicated and said he was avoiding potholes.
-Police responded to the 400 block of S. Broadway Avenue at 1:20 a.m. Sunday for a 3-week-old baby that was transported to the hospital for evaluation after having a medical issue .
-Police stopped Michael W. Booth, 1109 E. 10th St., Salem, in the 400 block of Arch Street at 2:42 a.m. Sunday for no headlights and also charged him with OVI. He was provided a courtesy ride to his residence after being released.
-Police responded to the hospital at 2:59 a.m. Sunday after being advised an ambulance was on its way with a combative patient from Goshen Township. Upon arrival the man was already restrained to a cot in the back of the ambulance by a Goshen Township police officer and was not combative. The responding officer stood by to assure the man stayed that way.
-Police responded to the 1200 block of E. State Street at 5:36 a.m. Sunday for a one-vehicle accident. Ryan D. Armstrong, 1205 Depot Road, Salem, was westbound and lost control, traveled off the right side of the road striking a snow/ice mound and continued off the road striking a tree head on. He was not injured and was cited for OVI and failure to maintain reasonable control. He was provided a courtesy ride home upon release.
-Police responded to the 500 block of E. Pershing Street at 10:09 p.m. Saturday where a female juvenile was banned from the premises and was located inside. She was asked to leave and her mother returned and demanded the admission fee be refunded. Employees advised the mother that her daughter was aware she wasn't permitted to return and should have known better than to pay. No refund was issued and the mother became irate and belligerent leading to police being called. The mother and her daughter were gone when police arrived. An employee was advised to call police if they returned.
-A man who resides on Walnut was on station at 7:21 p.m. Saturday in need of medical attention and was transported to the hospital.
-Police responded to the 900 block of Highland Avenue at 6:34 p.m. Saturday where three residents were in a verbal dispute. There were no threats or violence. All three were advised to stay away from each other and domestic violence laws were explained. They affirmed they understood.
