LISBON - John Stoffer, 51, South Broadway, Salem, pleaded guilty in county Common Pleas Court to four counts of possession of drugs and single counts of illegal possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs and having weapons while under disability.
Sentencing is set for May 2. Stoffer faces up to 24 years in prison and a $47,500 fine.
Stoffer had methamphetamines on Jan. 16, 2013; heroin and methamphetamines on Feb. 17, 2013; and heroin on May 30, 2013. One May 30, he also had the chemicals to manufacture meth and was in the process of doing so in his home. Authorities also found an AK 47 assault rifle in his home on the same date.
Jonathan M. Weaver, 26, Pinewood Drive, New Waterford, pleaded guilty to domestic violence and possession of drugs and was sentenced to 15 months in prison. Additionally, his license was suspended for six months. Weaver had heroin on Dec. 2, 2013 and struck Ashley Cox in the head, face and back during an argument in her apartment on Dec. 1.
