Church hosting family movie night

NEW WATERFORD - Today's family movie night begins at 7 p.m. at the New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 South St. The movie is titled "Unstoppable" starring Kirk Cameron. Admission is free to the public. Popcorn will be provided. For more information call 330-457-7436.

Grace Lutheran food pantry open Feb. 26

EAST PALESTINE - Grace Lutheran Church's food pantry is open from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 26 for individuals and families residing in the East Palestine School District.

Jesus the Key Ministry sponsoring trip

LANCASTER, Pa. - Jesus the Key Ministry is sponsoring trips to Lancaster, Pa.

April 8-9: Hershey Chocolate Factory, Mennonite Center and Moses at the Sight and Sound Theatre, $249.

July 22-23: Boat ride on the Susquehanna River, dinner show at Dutch Apple Theatre, "Music Man" and Moses at Sight and Sound Theatre, $259.

First United Methodist hosting revival

SALEM - The First United Methodist Church of Salem is hosting a revival at 6:30 p.m. March 2-4. Fellowship follows. Special guest speaker, Pastor Mark Vincent from the Berlin Center United Methodist Church, will present "Knowing God."

Pastor Vincent lives in Berlin Center with his wife of 16 years, Cristal. He has served several churches in the East Ohio Conference: East Liverpool UMC, New Waterford UMC, and Tod Ave UMC. He is originally from Mingo Junction where he was a member of Finley UMC when Pastor Doug George (current senior pastor at Salem UMC) served as senior pastor for 16 years.

The public is invited to attend and asked to read Psalm 139:23-24 in advance.

East Fairfield United

Methodist Church

EAST FAIRFIELD - Pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee will be served to the public from 8 to 10 a.m. March 1 at the East Fairfield United Methodist Church. Donations will be used for a mission trip to Moore, Okla. The church will be sending three people along with 30 others from East Liverpool UMC, Lisbon UMC and other churches in the Lisbon area.

World Day of

Prayer service

CANFIELD - This year's World Day of Prayer ecumenical service begins at 11 a.m. March 7 at Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St. The annual offering supports the work of World Day of Prayer USA and helps meet the needs of families in Egypt and around the world who are victims of many forms of poverty, violence, and injustice.

World Day of Prayer USA promotes justice and equality for women through prayer, partnerships, service, and celebration. For more information contact the church at 330-533-2246, canfield.

Men from the

Diocese will meet at St. Thomas Aquinas

LOUISVILLE - Men from the Diocese of Youngstown will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 8 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville.

Sponsored by the Catholic Men's Fellowship, this year's keynote speakers are Marcus Grodi and James Hogan. Grodi is host of the EWTN program, "The Journey Home." He is a former Presbyterian Church pastor who served in Trumbull County for a time.

Hogan is a theology teacher at Cleveland St. Ignatius High School.

Bishop George Murry is the honorary chairman and will preside at the closing Mass which begins at 4 p.m.

Spouses are invited to the communal rosary at 3:30 p.m.

Advance tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for students and include free coffee and doughnuts during registration, free parking, lunch, snacks and admission to all talks.

After March 1, tickets are $45 and $20 respectively with lunch not guaranteed. Confessions will be heard during the lunch hours.
