SALEM - Duane O. Joy, 72 of Salem, passed away on Feb. 14, 2014 at Hospice House in Poland, OH.
Duane was born in East Liverpool on June 1, 1941, the son of the late Clinton and Thena Marie (Pugh) Joy. He was a graduate of United High School and a member of the Church of Christ in Lisbon. Duane enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine (Boso) Joy of Salem; a son, John S. Adams of Salem; three daughters, Judith Ann (Tim) Bickle of AZ, Vickie Lynn Dennison of Lisbon, and Lisa Marie (Charles) Shafer of Salem; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sibling, Glenn, Gerald, Marvin, Darlene Matheney, Gary, Tim, Terry and Gale. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Merl and a great-grandson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at Brown funeral home in Salem.
