SEBRING- Floyd Woolf Jr., 86, of Alliance died on Friday at Roselawn Terrace of Alliance. Floyd was born in Beloit on Dec. 16, 1927, the son of the late Floyd and Bernice (Reed) Woolf, and served in the US Army Air Corps.
A lifelong area resident, Floyd worked as an auto mechanic and retired from the Village of Sebring City Service Department.
Survivors include three sons, Frank A. Woolf of Alliance, Michael J. (Barbara) Woolf of Alliance and Stephen F. (Christine) Woolf of Louisville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson Grayson.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Lois J. (Igro) Woolf, with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage on Sept. 20; and a daughter, Mary Ann.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and the hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring. Military honors will be provided by the Salem Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Floyd's honor to American Legion Post 76, 395 W. California Ave., Sebring OH 44672.
